You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sarah is a 2 ½ year old brindle shepherd mix. Her original owner was deployed to Afghanistan and was going to take her to the pound this past spring, so a friend took her in. However, he was unable to care for her, and she escaped from his house. A family in the neighborhood found her and agreed to foster her until she could be adopted. Then, a surprise came when the foster family discovered she was several weeks pregnant. She had a litter of puppies in May that were all quickly adopted once they were weaned. Now, she has recovered from her pregnancy, has been spayed, is up to date on her shots, is heartworm negative, has been given a clean bill of health by a vet, and is ready to be adopted by a loving family. She is a large 70 lb dog who loves people, is energetic, enjoys going for walks, playing fetch, and will need a large fenced in yard for plenty of exercise. She is house trained, but isnt fond of being crated. Sarah thinks she's a lap dog! She loves to hang out with you. Her foster family feels that she would do best as an only pet, or at least not with an alpha dog. She gets along with cats, but sometimes they are annoyed by her high levels of energy. Her foster family has two tween-aged kids that she's great with. Sarah's adoption fee is $75.
