This is my baby, Jackie. He's a 10 month old lab/pit mix and I love him to death. I want to find a good home for him because he's very active and social and I think he deserves a home that can give him what he wants because he is such a great dog.
He is not a barker (only if he is feeling playful). He loves to run and roll and sniff and chew and play in dirt or mud if I let him. He loves people and dogs and cats and everything else you can come up with. He's just an awesome and super social dog. I just feel he'd be much happier if he had playmates and an active owner.
He's protective: whenever another dog barks he will run to me and stand guard. He will bark if he thinks I'm being threatened as well. There's not a mean bone in his body though; all he ever wants to do is play and chew on sticks. I don't give him bones outside because he will immediately paw up a little hole and cover his bone with some dirt using his nose (I don't think he quite understands burying).
He is house-trained, fixed, microchipped, vaccinated, freshly de-wormed, knows commands like sit, come, and down (but he's extremely stubborn and sometimes doesn't listen.) If you pat his hip he'll know he's not supposed to do something. He loves to run. That's probably one of his favorite things to do (closely followed by chewing sticks and tearing up his new toys... so I got him a rubber bone XD). He knows his crate as his "house" and his food as his "breakfast." Did I mention he loves everything and everyone? He still puppy nips a bit but we are working on that; we've got it down to just soft nomming but he still can get worked up sometimes in play.
I want an active person with a yard and either kid(s) (probably a bit older) or other dog(s) he can play with. He's just so extremely social and that's the whole reason I'm re-homing him. He needs a play-mate or two and I can't afford another dog for him to play with all the time. It breaks my heart but he's such a good dog that I want him to be happy and live his life to the fullest.
I require to see his home and playmates before letting him go. I would also like to see how he acts around the new playmates (not that I have any doubts, just being safe). If you plan on using him for fighting or bait of any kind then move along. He's my baby and I want the best for him.
My rehoming fee is $250 but we can talk. I don't have much money although Jackie and I are fine financially so if you want to help me out I'll gladly take anything.
